Every organisation is, at its core, a group of people occupying different positions - each bringing their own skills, strengths, and personality to the whole. People move. Roles shift. Skills recombine. But the organisation itself remains one structure, built from the people within it.
That's the idea behind our name and our mark: a cube made of moving parts that never stops being one whole, built from people rather than fixed pieces.
Playbox was born from firsthand experience of what happens when accountability, hierarchy, and pressure aren't handled well - and how much that shapes a team's ability to do good work. Rather than build another generic culture survey from theory alone, we set out to create something grounded in real situations: moments where judgement is genuinely tested by competing priorities, not hypothetical ones.
That's what PCJI-20 measures - not opinion about culture, but judgement within it. How people raise concerns. How they handle mistakes. Whether they share difficult information honestly. How they balance the pressure to deliver against the standards worth protecting. We built it because we believe the people closest to these moments - supervisors, team leads, operational managers - deserve a tool that reflects the real complexity of the decisions they're already making, not a simplified version of it.
